Malinda Chouinard papers
Community member Malinda Pennoyer Chouinard conducted an historic resources inventory from 1975 to 1976 in the interest of designating buildings and areas within Ventura and Oxnard as historical sites, landmarks, districts and zones of limited development. This collection includes documents and photographs of historical buildings in various neighborhoods of the local region.

Edith Hobson Hoffman papers
Edith Hobson Hoffman (1890-1970) is a member of the Hobson family, early settlers of Ventura County who played a pivotal role in its development. Edith was dedicated to preserving the history of the county throughout her life. These papers contain records detailing the publication of The Letters of José Señán, forty-eight letters incorporated into a book which detail life at the San Buenaventura Mission from 1796 to 1823.

Peirano family papers
The Peiranos were a family of Italian immigrants who arrived in Ventura County in the late nineteenth century. They owned land throughout the county, but their ownership of Peirano Market, a mainstay of downtown Ventura businesses for nearly one hundred years, made them an integral part of the community's identity. These papers include both their personal and property related legal documents.
Herbert Ricard papers
Herbert F. Ricard was a local historian and writer. He authored MVC quarterly Volume 17, Issue 2 "Place Names of Ventura County" (1972-73). This collection contains Ricard's research and notes, including his notes on place names within the county that he used to write the journal on the topic.
Henry B. Sparks papers
These are the personal papers of Henry B. Sparks, a long-time Ventura County resident and columnist at the Ventura County Star-Free Press. His papers include a scrapbook, newspaper clippings, letters, diaries, and photographs.
